Started in 1993, the El Portal Industrial Park is a 525 acre master planned industrial development located just northwest of the intersection of I-35 and Loop 20. El Portal provides easy access to the World Trade Bridge as well as to northbound traffic.

Design standards and development restrictions were created with the commercial and institutional owner in mind. Located within the Laredo city limits, El Portal is served by municipal water and sewer. Current end users include French Ellison, Averitt Express, Costco Wholesale, and Verde Realty.
